POV-Ray 3.6 Complete Textures Guide

This Guide lists all the pigments, textures, materials, as well as finishes, interiors and radiosity found in the include directory of the POV-Ray for Windows v3.6. The objects which the textures were applied to were taken from the file shapes.pov which is normally resides in the C:\Program Files\POV-Ray for Windows v3.6\scenes\incdemo directory. The purpose of this Guide is to provide pieces of POV code which are the complete POV textures that can be used right away in your scene.

This guide is a good reference for studying the popular freeware raytracer Persistence of Vision and for experimenting with its syntax. You can use the codes provided in this Guide as templates to create your own textures or adjust existing ones to your needs. You can even combine pieces of the code to make funny and weird textures like on the images below. With this Guide you will save plenty of time, since everything is gathered together in one place and cataloged. For the most impatient is provided a Google search bar which you can use, too, to search for your texture or a part if it within this site or on the entire Internet, of course if it exists.
