Pigments List

Basic Usage

Play with the buttons and click on the question signs to consult the POV documentation, if something is unclear.

Some patterns, the most complicated and unusable, like fractals and slope, are not included in the drop-down menu. But they can be specified in the "Use Custom Normal Pattern" textarea. Make sure the radio button is checked. Some browsers like Firefox tend to remember the current user configuration and don't play well with DHTML.

Rendering can be skipped and the raw code can be obtained directly. It's useful sometimes especially when POV-Ray spits out obscure errors.

The results of your work can be saved in our database to keep and share with your friends and the whole world.

Pigment Lists

Insert the pigment code into the text areas. The code, pure patterns optionally with color maps, can be generated here, taken from the Pigment Pattern Section or found in our database. No pigment statement or curly braces are needed. Choose the appropriate pattern in the drop-down menu and hit "Render".
