The specific gravity of lead is 11.3 and it has a melting point of 620o F or 327o C.

7.2.9.2. Wiping Solder and Caulking Lead

2. When there is a change in size of a lead bend, the change shall be in the vertical section of the bend or made in such a manner that there shall be no retention of liquid in the bend.
3. Lead waste pipe and fittings shall not be used in a water system or for a building sewer.

lead pipe is supported throughout its length.

7.2.10.14(d) lead sheet ventpipe  flashing shall be at least 2.16 mm thick.
