Ontario Building Code Part7

My name is Alex Ivanov. I immigrated to Canada from Russia and discovered that it is quite difficult to pass the Ontario plumbing exam, not because Ontario plumbing is very complicated but due to the fact that there are no clear manuals and text-books on this subject. So I tried to make things a bit clearer by myself and think my Interactive On-line Tutorial will be useful for you too.

OK, guys. I've got my license. Now it's your turn. Hurry up. The Code at the exam is going to be changed very soon.

Several guys asked me, if I could give them any pointers how to pass the exam. Sure I can. Actually Plumbing exam is easy. You need to know very well 3 Plumbing Apprenticeship Training books and Ontario Building Code Part 7. The Code doesn't need to be memorized, but you should know it well enough to quickly find the answer, since 3 hours of examination is a pretty short period of time. And, of course, it will be nice to take a Plumbing course at your local college. I cannot say anything about the course, since I didn't have any. But I had some consultations from the plumbing professors at Fanshawe College in London. Greg Van Bakel and Harry Willemse were very helpful. Thanks a lot to them.

Also some guys ask if their will be any updates to the new 2007 Code. I hope so. But I won't do that. I was a volunteer, when I started this project and my work is done. But for the current students joining it will be a great learning curve. Just pick up a subject and do whatever you think is useful. Use your favourite word processor like Word or OpenOffice or any that can export into HTML, add some links to make your tutorial as interactive as possible and then contact me. I will tell you my email address which I don't show on this website to prevent spam. Email me your files and folders in ZIP format, and I will publish them. Good luck!
